With a complete remodeling, the Whistler Peak Lodge hotel has been repositioned as the perfect escape in the heart of Whistler Village.
At the close of the 2014/15 winter season, a large scale renovation of the hotel’s property and suites commenced, to enhance the comfort and overall experience for our guests.
All 115 guestrooms have received a refresh of its furnishings. Refurbishment included stylish new carpeting, window treatments, lighting fixtures and some furnishings. Nine guestrooms were re-configured into superior king rooms with new king Grand Resort Restwell mattresses, down duvets and plush linen. All other suites received new queen Grand Resort Restwell mattresses to make for a truly blissful night’s sleep, down duvets and plush linen, and new black-out drapery. All sofabeds were replaced, and new coffee tables now accompany the new sofabeds.
In addition, each suite received re-stained cabinetry, new lighting, and new dining room chairs creating a more comfortable setting to take advantage of each suites’ full kitchen or kitchenette. Select guest rooms also received ceiling conversions to a more contemporary flat finish.
No hotel refurbishment would be complete without paying attention to the common areas. All corridors and elevator lobbies received extensive renovation work. Dated wallpaper was removed, all corridors received new carpeting and each floors’ elevator lobbies received new tile flooring, and ceilings were converted to a more contemporary flat finish. Accent features such as darkly painted baseboards, chair rails, and edge guards, light-reflecting stainless steel door kickplates and contrasting painted doors were added to brighten up and give character to hallways. Guestroom and corridor directional signage has also been restyled incorporating design elements from the property’s logo.
